About White Dolphin Technology

White Dolphin Technology has been developed as a service to coaches who wish to optimise performance. The technical team listens to the coach who says that ‘If only I could…..’ and sets about to respond to this challenge, producing the technical innovation required to answer the specific question. So far this innovation has resulted in the development of devices ranging from large Swim-Stacks or Swim-Benches to small cameras, manuals and CDs, with many new products under development. The products have been made economically without compromising quality. The most important focus has been on ease of use, universally identified by coaches as essential.

The technical team is led by Dr Henryk Lakomy, a world leader in the area of performance measurement, with more than 70 international refereed papers in this area. Up to the Athens Olympics Dr Lakomy was the Manager of Science and Medicine for World Class Swimming, British Swimming, developing the technology required to enhance the performance of British Olympic Swimmers. Not only does Dr Lakomy have a BSc in Electronics and a PhD in Exercise Physiology, he is also an International Coach and an ex-International Sportsman. He lectured in Sports Science at Loughborough University for 16 years. With these credentials it is not surprising that he has developed some of the most advanced systems used world-wide by coaches in a wide variety of sports.

Coaching, and coach support, is all about effective communication. As dolphins use a highly effective means of communication to talk to each other, and even more impressively echolocation to define their environment, the White Dolphin is clearly an outstanding symbol for the service we provide.
