'... A highly portable and sophisticated piece of resistance training equipment providing specific strength development for swimming without inhibiting any of the swimming strokes…the Drag’n’Fly uses the same world leading training methods developed for the Swim Stack, and offers the best form of strength conditioning for swimming.'

A recent research study on quality club swimmers found that just 6 weeks of resisted swim training improved 100m performance by nearly 2 seconds - Lewis Morrison, 2005

Drag 'n' Fly© is a precision-engineered tethering system attached to the swimmer in the water. It uses a unique combination of moving arms and elastic tether. Housed in a polycarbonate case the quality stainless guide arms with low friction bearings ensure that the resistance is applied smoothly. This unique dynamic pulley system allows a full 25m of resisted swimming, twice the distance possible with conventional tether systems.

Drag 'n' Fly© operates in two distinct swimming training modes, namely resisted and assisted swimming. When swimming away from the system, the applied load resists the swimmer. In contrast, when swimming towards the system the swimmer feels the assistance of the load.

Drag 'n' Fly© uses the overload principle, used in land training, to develop strength and power during swimming. It can be used not only to train the full swimming stroke but also starts and turns. It can also be used to develop power when working with the arms or legs in isolation.

Training with Drag 'n' Fly© develops strength and power in swimming specific movements. There is interaction between strength development and metabolism – both work in concert and therefore training sets can target Strength, power, speed, strength-endurance, lactate production or lactate tolerance.

Each unit is very portable (approx 12kg), easy to store, with a special space saving travel mode. The Drag 'n' Fly© uses the end wall or overflow grates to lock it in place at the end of a lane. Each unit is supplied with TWO tether belts and full instructions.

Coaching Tip
The 2-Litre Rule - Research has clearly shown that a reduction in bodyweight as little as 2%, due to dehydration, can decrease performance by up to 20%. To maintian optimal performance, Bob Smi...
